From January to September, the industrial added value of textile enterprises above designated size decreased by 0.4% year-on-year, and the operating revenue was 3,856.3 billion yuan, up by 3.1% year-on-year. The total profit was 134.5 billion yuan, down 24.0% year on year; The industry suffered a loss of 24.3%, an increase of 2.7 percentage points year-on-year.
The output of yarn, cloth, clothing and chemical fiber of enterprises above designated size fell by 6.6 percent, 5.5 percent, 1.7 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively. Industry average employment was 5.52 million, down 3.5% from a year earlier.
